Tod,

>>I don't know what experience you have had with the military, but =
behavior like
that among the executive staff would not be tolerated. It shows a low =
regard
for others, an extreme lack of professional decorum, and inappropriate =
level
heightened belief in oneself. Individuals like this would either be
administratively discharged, or meet before a board of court-martial. =
One may
have all the ribbons and decorations one desires, but if they fail to =
act in a
manner respective of their rank and position, the military has no use =
for them.<<

You mean like Patton, famous for his civility and politeness to privates =
recovering from battle fatigue? Or maybe like Schwarzkopf, famous for =
his fair, urbane treatment of his own staff?

<For those of you not familiar with the details, the above was written =
with tongue firmly in cheek>

Not to compare the WKPP with a military unit, nor its director with a =
general. But the military has a long history of making allowances for =
personal quirks, even almost anti-social traits, in their leaders - as =
long as those leaders perform! Natch, if Patton or Stormin Normin were =
only average generals, they wouldn't have been given that leeway.

Your analogy does not hold.

Rich L
