Bill: I fail to follow your logic. You are presenting a false-dichotomy that is unnecessary. To make a choice between being an extremely knowledge leader and being a pompous and self-inflated leader is one that only a nine-year old would make. Simply put, one can behave maturely and at the same time be highly influential and accomplishing as a leader. I know, I have worked closely with more than a few Generals and line Commanders who had the professional decorum to keep both values in fine balance. It is only the leader who is childlike in his management skills who must go around beating his chest, demeaning others, and bellowing at everyone around him in order to get what he wants accomplished. That may work on the playground when we are young, but eventually we must all grow up. Tod -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
