Can't really give you good news. The hose-less units are known to be a
big problem. I stayed away thinking that a non-integrated unit would
work better. My honest suggestion would be to see if you could return
it for some other useful gear.

The Nemesis has a bad reputation of turning off at the bottom and you
lose your SPG. Also has a bad habit of switching to your deco gas if
you slow your breathing. Have a friend with one and each time he's
going to take pictures it switched since he's holding his breath as he
moves in for the shot and not trying to scare the subject.

As far as computers go I think the Aladdin is a better computer but
blanks out of you blow a stop, at least the commander turns into a
timer. Also, the batteries are user replaceable.

Probably not the information you were looking for but hope it helps,
Art.

	Subject:	Cochran Nemesis IIa

Maybe you can give me some constructive feed back. I am just
entering the
realm of technical diving and just a few months ago I did
purchase a
Cochran Nemesis IIa. I am still trying to learn how to use it
correctly
and so far only trust it as a spg, psg, and timer (other than
spg, my
	Citizen watch does all this).

My problem with this unit is the field programer. It worked the
first time
I used it right out of the box and then would not work any
longer. Cochran
was contacted and I was informed to take sand paper to this
brand new piece
of equipment and sand down the contact points on the probe as
the plating
was apparently interfering with contact. I did this and it
worked, I did
not like the idea of sanding down new equipment but as long as
it
worked............. Anyway, that was one time, once again it is
not
working, I tried to sand it down again but it still will not
make contact.
My wife is running the programer back to the dive shop I
purchased the
computer from to ask the owner to send it back to Cochran with
instructions
on where to stick it (the programer unit that is).

Can you give me any idea's or tricks to make the new programer
(when it
comes in) work correctly on a regular basis? I know I have
thrown a lot of
good money away on bad gear but right now I am getting the
feeling that
this has been the biggest waste ever. So please, give me some
good news
	about my purchase.

	Thanks,
	Eric
