The argument for decompressing on 100% oxygen vs. 80% is similar to the
argument for using 100% oxygen for treating decompression illness.  By having
the largest gradient between the absorbed inert gases and the gas being
breathed, the inert gas will be eliminated more efficiently.

With DCI, it is clear that breathing 100% oxygen for half as long is much more
beneficial than breathing 50% for twice the time.  I would think the same
holds true for decompressing on 100% oxygen.
