If you are interested in Great Lakes' shipwrecks, you might be interested in the following information about the Ford Seahorses Scuba Diving Club's Great Lakes Shipwreck Festival (GLSF). I've been a member of the club for years and can personally vouch for it being an excellent program. The web site has not yet been updated. It contains last year's information, but it will give you a flavor for what is usually offered. The main web page also has a link to the Michigan Underwater Preserve Council site which has information on Great Lakes' wrecks. The GLSF usually includes presentations on newly discovered wrecks at depths in the recreational range and beyond, as well as seminars, exhibits, local and nationally known speakers. To date, we have confirmation that Gary Gentile will be a presenter this year. Other speakers have not yet been confirmed. --------- 22nd Annual GREAT LAKES SHIPWRECK FESTIVAL A DIVERS' FORUM and FILM FESTIVAL The Ford Seahorses Scuba Diving Club will present its 22nd Annual Great Lakes Shipwreck Festival on Saturday, February 20, 1999 at the Ford Motor Company World Headquarters auditorium and the Holiday Inn Fairlane-Dearborn meeting rooms in Dearborn, Michigan. The day's activities include an afternoon or evening main program, salt water programs, seminars, diver's forum, underwater photo contest results and a large exhibit hall of maritime artists, historical and preservation societies plus private and shipwreck artifact collections. For every main program ticket purchased one dollar will be donated to Divers Alert Network (DAN). Call the Ford Seahorses voice mail hotline at - or visit our web page for festival and ticket information at http://www.mich.com/~ttaylor.
