I do still read each one, though, because there _may_ be something of value there. Those exchanges are in my mind far better than censoring Wrolf or anyone with whose opinions you disagree. In fact, I find it somewhat insulting that you think I'm not smart enough to recognize what works and what doesn't given all of the information available to me here and elsewhere. There are many "wannabe" technical divers such as myself reading this list. I for one appreciate the opportunity to hear dissenting views on diving techniques and equipment configuration. The best possible outcome of that sort of traffic is that I get to _understand_ how and why one system is superior to the others, which not only reenforces my choice in adopting that system, it also enables me to become an advocate for that system. I would also like to be able to tell others within my small sphere of influence that they should subscribe to this list as a means of supporting my assertions regarding the DIR system and having their questions answered. Unfortunately, with messages like this one from you found here, some of the folks who have come here have quickly decided that this list is not a useful source of information, and that the technical diving community is dominated by a bunch of doctrinaire elitists. This takes a lot of credibility out of the DIR message, and only serves to defeat your own efforts to spread the word. Go ahead and disagree with those who promote illogical or dangerous practices. Expose those ideas with no merit for what they are. Be persistent in challenging them, and if you must, be rude or vulgar. But please, let them all have their say.
