Now how is this for "don't think about it, just do it my way" Some of these guys just love to argue, others are really trying to learn. If your explanation is that they should accept it without understanding it maybe you should rethink what you are doing. If your point is also that argueing about the points of the DIR concept slows the acceptance, so what! If they have an incomplete understanding of the DIR/Hogarthian reasonings and concept, then the incomplete system is also useless. Part of the philosophy behind DIR is knowing what EVERY part of the gear is there for. There is a good reason WHY for every piece chosen for the job. To simply say accept my way because it is the best and don't question it is not going to work. If one can "effecitively destroy" the DIR concept with arguments, then maybe the concept has some flaws and is unable to stand on its' own merits. There is nothing wrong with demanding proof of anything that relates to life support. If it is done in a way that upsets you, too bad, grow up. If you are too impatient to deal with those that require more proof than you did, maybe you are not the right messenger and should keep the mouth shut until you find a way to explain it in a more rational (and complete) fashion. I dive Hogarthian and I agree it is the best system I have seen so far (and have made some modifications to it myself), but to simply say that you have put all of the thought into it and someone else does not need to is not acceptable. Try communicating the entire idea, not just the pieces. Simply saying "do it my way and don't think about it" is not going to work.
