John, if you've rolled off the short hose, it only takes a moment to reach back and roll it back on. Your buddy, on the other hand, leading through a restriction on your long hose, could spend the rest of his life trying to turn around and get you to turn that valve back on. Think about it. There are advantages and disadvantages to every possible configuration, and it's trivial to create a rig that'll solve one problem and find you've broken more than you've fixed. The key thing is to think through all the implications of a given configuration and tell the difference between major and minor problem points, and situations that happen frequently versus rare ones. -- Anthony DeBoer <adb@on*.ca*> -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
