Not a problem Mike, I understand you need all sorts of explainations, because
you cant get the simplest idea through your thick skull, besides the idea that
"Mike is always right."

MIke I was diving those HP 100's solo, wet and using regular old nitrox, not a
molecule of Helium in sight. Why? Well I blew a dry suit seal, and they dont
just slap those right back on, it takes a while. I know you are just freaking
ignorant about dry suits because double bladder wings are so much freaking
better, so Ill grant you that.

I was diving solo because I was the mate that day, and we dont throw a dozen
divers in when the mission means i'm not going far from the hook. The other
mate is on the bow, managing the anchor line and 90% ready to jump in if i tug
like mad, or exceed my max tie in time__if im not back in fifteen minutes they
throw in someone else, or if my bubbles stop they thow in someone else. Often
I either dont leave the anchor or I pick up a buddy after I give the "tied in"
sign.

I dive those tanks wet because they get floaty as they get empty, not
negative. I dont do it often, but they were the only nitrox I had ready on
hand. The other stuff was too hot or air.

I still use the damn tanks becasue no body wants to buy them, unless you give
them away. G has said he still has tanks he hates, that he still uses them for
o2 bottles.

I have other items that are "non standard" that i use, I have lights that are
overvolted pieces of shit but i use them because i cant afford the good ones.
My snaps are all brass, becasue the only big stainless like I need, I saw for
14 bucks a snap and I need at least twenty of em. I am trying not to buy more
of the crap, because of the money. I understand money problems, but the answer
is not buying more crap gear cause its cheaper, or trying to bullshit your way
around the problem.

The place Im living in I cant have big cylinders , they practically shit about
the scuba bottles as it is. So I cant make my own mix, and you know about the
agency route for it. I try to dial the nitroxes down and I dont dive deep-
deep.

That being said yes I was doing it wrong that day. I can admit that.

Now can you do the same and admit that the bondage--Im sorry, you dont use
bungee, the double bladder wing is less than an ideal piece of gear?

Al Marvelli

PS ... And while we are looking at previous posts, you never told me why you
cant use double al 80's with the numbers to back it up. What do you want to do
in that warm water, where consumption should be less, that requires more than
160 cubic ft of gas?
