Subject: Re: Another NE Death

 >>By the why harvey dove the same for almost 40 years single tanks wet suit
(tried dry suits and didnt like them) just because you didnt agree with the
way he dove or the equipment he used dosent make it right or wrong. it worked
for him.>>

Sorry Steve, I disagree. Harvey dived stupidly, now he is dead. And it affects
ALL OF US, in one way or another. Steve, of all the boat captains up here you
probably have the most influence on tech divers. I'd like to see you use that
to better the industry and help prevent accidents. When someone dies due to
stupidity, all the crybabies defend the dead ones because they were "nice
guys". How many more nice guys are we going to bury? Everyone crys about
regulation and how they fear it, but no one wants to step up and do something
about it while we can. You might be one person, ones and twos add up quick.

>> i dont believe you will be around for forty years in the diving business.
you will move on the bigger and better things. And make money, not like in the
diving business. >>

Hell, I did'nt think I'd be around this long :)

 >>Remember Bonnie wasnt she one of your students.!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and for jeff
remember he sent bonnie in with the tank with no O2 content and you threw him
out and continued to train and fill bonnie tanks and a good profit I believe.
doing our lanudry on the internet is educating a lot of people.

Time for some facts kimosabee:

1)After Jeff got thrown out of my store by me (he brought the unlabled, blue
80 with O2 into my store, not Bonnie, and jeff blamed Bonnie, which is still
to this day unclear to me). I never trained Bonnie after that, I believe she
started diving and training with someone from the old East Coast Divers out of
staten island. Anyway, I threw Bonnie out of my store one other time with the
manager from the old Scuba Shoppe. They brought in nitrox tanks to be filled
and had no idea what was in them, and they had just finished diving them. So I
told them never to come back.

2)Profit? Let's not talk Profit here Steve. That's the whole point to being in
business or going to work. You do it, I do it, and so does everyone. I'm damn
proud of it. And Some of that profit I will give thanks to you, for referring
me. I have done the same for you.

Dirty Laundry-who cares. my point is simple. Too many deaths, bad for us. Lets
fix the problem. I came to you Steve once before to get the EDBA to do
something to help prevent these types of accidents, improperly marked tanks
being allowed on the boats. It's certainly not a cure all, but it is a step in
the right direction. Maybe you can bring this up at the next EDBA meeting.

Regards, Bob
