bob i don't think that this particular incident reflects on the fact that he had no markings on his tanks. he was out of bottom gas(no matter what it was) & that left him nothing safe to breath at that depth. while i agree with you & george & the agencies about properly marking tanks, lets not go off in the wrong direction here. he was in an area that he was totaly unfamiliar with without a known way out for himself. how & why he got there we can only guess. the result was a tragedy for himself his family & all the people on the both boats that were there at the time. hank -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
