This is very sad. But lets do something about it. If someone dies diving
"doing it right", or the best way possible, thats one thing. But when a
supposed *leader* dives in this fashion, I'm sorry, his funny and crazy antics
(I know we will miss them) don't cover up the fact that he was setting a bad
example. He new better, and did nothing about it. Do something wrong and make
a correction, that's okay. Most of us have done that. But to continue the
practice, not good. Just because Harvey was an old timer and beloved in the
community is no excuse for his continued poor diving practices.

The local newsday article states that an experienced brooklyn diver died..blah
blah blah. This hurts our industry every day - potential divers read this all
the time, and this discourages them from learning. Had they known the
truth.........

It's always cover up, its time to stop.
