Joel A very touching tribute to a man who obviously had an enormous influence on you. It's nice to read such an eulogy for the victim of (possibly) a diving accident instead of the venom and rancor that generally seems to get stirred up upon learning of an undersea tragedy. I can't help but be reminded of Shakespeare's famous soliloquy by Marc Anthony following the assasination of Julius Ceasar: "...The evil that men do lives after them, while the good is oft interred with their bones...." I hope (against hope) that others reading your posting will better appreciate the good feeling they recieved by extolling the humanity of the deceased, instead of ignorantly criticizing what one surmised was the cause of the fatal accident. I didn't know Harvey, but from your brief posting, I am sure that if he could have chosen his exit from this world, it may well have been through the ocean's peaceful embrace on his beloved wreck of the Oregon. Thank for for affording this diver the respect and dignity that he obviously deserves. Peter Hess -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
