Mine switched to a continious bleep during a deep dive but still showed the correct readings. This fault is usually due to the battery about to fail and when you go into cold water that battery power gets less as i cools down and hence the unit malfunctions. I sent mine back, the battery was replaced, and it has worked fine since. The moral I think is get the battery replaced before you need it replaced as we all know battery power decreases dramitically with temperature. It has just to set an electronic latch and not reset the latch due to lack of power and the computer will be in error. Always carry a watch and a table when you dive with a computer, especially if deco diving. ************************************************************************* _/_/_/ _/_/_/ _/_/_/_/ tow@uk*.ac*.nb*.ua* _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ PROUDMAN OCEANOGRAPHIC LABORATORY _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ BIDSTON,MERSEYSIDE _/ _/_/_/ _/ _/ ENGLAND. L43 7RA I have to go down to the sea again, to the call of the running tide Tis a wild call but a clear call, that cannot be denied. **************************************************************************
