See your point on the dive travel. Personally I'd like to see less but
it's OK since I just walk by. This year I didn't make it to any of the
seminars although I did last year. I agree they were excellent.
Actually I didn't talk with anyone in the Brownie's booth, I just kind
of took the backplate/harness off the rack and starting showing it to
some people. I guess I should have paid more attention as I would like
to have put a face to the name and talked with JJ for a while. A friend
told me he was there but this was after the show was over. I agree,
plenty of money to be made in the "tech" gear market.

For those who do like to get away once in a while (like Tina and
me),
this was one of the highlights of the show. I also enjoyed the
seminars
that discussed tropical destinations, both the promotional ones
and the
others done by "ordinary" folks who wanted to share their
experiences.

I also thought the Saturday evening film festival was great.

Then you might have had a chance to meet JJ, if you hadn't
before.
I was surprised to see him there, since I thought he was just a
technical advisor to the company. But his being there did make
sense.
After all, who could do a better job of explaining the gear than
	those who really use it?

I didn't try it on. Seeing it was enough. What a joke. But you
can't
blame them, with every tom, dick and harry SCUBA manufacturer
getting
into the "technical BC" market. SOMEBODY is buying this garbage,
so
there's money to be made - and Dick Long is no fool.
