Are the boats changing the destinations in route based on the passenger manifest?? Or are the dives being called at the dock?? Up here on Long Island if you want to go to a deep site you need to know a captain or have an instructor vouch for you, that you have the goods to be on that particular dive. This is in addition to cards and log books. No rabbi?? No Doria. No Coimbra. No Tower. No Sommerstead( i could go on but you get the picture dont you?) ( my one trip to the tower i had to promise not to violate my mod..on 30% ean I swam on the top at 120 fsw....and watched the deco happen from the deck. and I had a rabbi, too!) And I think this is as it probably should be. Should you really just be able to walk up and sign on for an extreme exposure with the boat having no idea what you are like in the water?? Does this kind of crap really happen down there? Cheers, Al Marvelli aka KybrSose@ao*.co* -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
