Roger-

Why the constant drumbeat on the "profanity"? Both the Techdiver and Caver
list are private lists. You might have a case with a usegroup or some other
public bulletin board of some sort. Lists are called "private" because you
have to apply to join them and they are under no onus at all insofar as
language or other points which are apparently bothersome to you. Do you
understand the difference between "public" and "private"?

As an example. Let's say you were my neighbor and you enjoyed buggering
your, uh, let's say Great Dane. Now you can do this all you want in the
privacy of your own home. And if you invite me into your home and you get a
sudden urge, at worse all I could do is leave. But as your neighbor I can
do nothing at all about it (short of publishing a magazine and dedicating
it to denigrating you).

Now if you started to bugger your Great Dane your front lawn, all sorts of
laws of PUBLIC decency would be broken and I could call the cops.

Is this clear now?
