Torpedo is a brand name, not a class of scooters. The only real options a diver has is cough up the big bucks for a Gavin (pull) or Farallon (ride) or go with a Mako or Dacor/Apollo. The Makos have a tendency to leak, which is not good for salt water (OK for fresh), the Dacors don't leak but have short burn times at full power, only 25mins or so. I use a Dacor and have 2 batteries. It's a good wreck shuttle/digger. If you attach a ring to the shroud you can clip onto your crotch strap and use one-handed.
