Torpedo is a brand name, not a class of scooters. The only real options a
diver has is cough up the big bucks for a Gavin (pull) or Farallon (ride)
or go with a Mako or Dacor/Apollo. The Makos have a tendency to leak,
which is not good for salt water (OK for fresh), the Dacors don't leak
but have short burn times at full power, only 25mins or so.

I use a Dacor and have 2 batteries. It's a good wreck shuttle/digger. If
you attach a ring to the shroud you can clip onto your crotch strap and
use one-handed. The switch has a "on" lock so you can set your "cruse
control" or use either hand.
