Todd, >Does anyone have experience with Trilaminate dry suits from >Northern Diver or Bare that they'd be willing to share? > >Thanks... > >- Todd I assume you mean 'Polar Bears'. If that is the case, I have one, which I bought after a year's diving wet. It was DS4. I had it mtm, definately worth the extra, (I'm tallish and skinny). Latex seals were standard, with a quick change cuffs. I seemed to get through a neck seal/year, and needed a new zip after about 4 years reasonable use. It's now 7 years old and still going strong, though relegated to backup as I got a s/h CF200 this year. Personally I don't get on with latex neck seals, they seem to rot on me faster than most, even though I fastidiously care for them, so I changed it for neoprene which was much better. I'd rate it like any good piece of kit, if you look after it, during the dives, you can forget about it. By that I mean I don't worry or have any niggles about the suit during the dive. hth Paul -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
