Like Lt Montague says, the hose diameter is bravo sierra - what it really does for you is cause you to have to buy custom hoses, or special hoses, and have no interchangeabilty with oother equipment, a not-too-good idea . Somebody need to tell Dacor that custom hoses and speical hose fitting and reg interfaces are not in our best interests. I think I mentioned once before, youi can start an F-14 through a 3/8 hose, so I would not get too concerned about this. If the presures were ambient, the hose diameter would be a major consideration in breathing, but not under compression where the delivery is ambient. Show you Dacor dealer the tank valve, and ask him if he can give you a 1/2" opening to go with the reg before you buy it. Also, as Montague mentions, the air-balanced regs (second stages) tend to give you a feeling of breathing easier, due to the low cracking pressure. Get one of these for your primary, and a low performance reg as your backup ( around your neck ).- G SHPWRK@ao*.co* wrote: > > i will be purchasing a new main reg. set up. my local dealer seems to steer > me to a dacor reg. he says the large hose on the second stage will increase > breathing performance. is there fact to this???...any comments are much > appreciated b/4 i plunk down the franklins. > thank you in advance,,, > -- > Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'. > Send list subscription requests to `techdiver-request@aquanaut.com'. -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
