Tom Mount wrote: a bunch of stuff Tom, on the high set point deco, this is great for bounce dives where no deco is required anyway, and you have a fat little lying endomorph like Pyle doing it, a guy who got paralyzed doing what I do routinely, but for a real dive, you and I both know that oxygen is the real risk, not DCS. Bring the camera stuff next time at Wakulla and everywhere else, and you can write the IANTD articles first hand. The stuff Jack is doing to the unit now is comfort oriented - we needed the bottom to be flat due to the way we have the harnesses going over the tank rack, but I guess the net result was to lower the profile of the machines quite a bit. I actually asked him to leave all of the breathing part like it has been all along. From the last dive I just got into the pool with it to see if the original scrubber material was still working, and it was, and then I dumped that, connected the hose for a minute, then connected the dryer, and put it away - about 10 minutes worth of prep for the next dive. The one Robert dives looks really slick - mine has been beaten silly, and Jack keeps getting pissed at me for dragging it through the sand. Do we have your rebreather, or do you have it? I do not even know where they all are now. I just noticed mine is not in the garage, so I guess Robert has it. - G -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
