Outstanding point.  In fact, so good I forwarded it to a local dive 
shop that is going under.  We've been telling them for years that for 
them to survive, they must sell what the customers want.  The soon to 
die dive shop however, felt that for a customer to buy from them they 
must fit into their pre-determined criteria.  Guess what!  No 
customer in their right mind would go through the criteria they 
mandated.  So, the customers still exist - the dive shop does not.
Also saw a photo processing lab go under the same way - the lab 
requried that you ONLY drop off your pics during a certain time of 
day and could ONLY pick them up at another, that you ONLY mark the 
packages a certain way and that you ONLY use a certain color of ink.  
Shit, who needs that kind of crap right?  Well, the customers just 
found somebody that was easier to work with and now the "my way or 
highway" dork is out of business.

Again, good point.
