I have seen some disks cut and dented unevenly by the poorly machined edge of
brand new plugs.   The disk normally bulges slightly into the hole in the
plug when installed and if rough edges are cutting into the disk it blows the
rating and reliability all to hell.   I use "no pops" in all important
supplys and every tech diver should inspect the plug itself for clean edges
where it meets the disk.
