What will the reaction be with H2 Platinum and Charcoal?

I thought the result of Platinum would be H20. I don't have any information on 
Platinum and  charcoal. Will the charcoal absorb the H20?

Do you have any information on how rubber bonds to H2 or know of a source for
this?
