Catching up on topics of the distant past:

This is about all I know on H2 scrubbers/battery cannisters:

Palladium will react with H2.
Platinum/charcoal will act as a catalyst between H2 and O2.
Rubber can be made to bond H2.
Certain sintered metal alloys (Ni and others) will bond H2.
