In the few days I have been on this list, I find it hard to believe some of
the commentary people love to express.  I thought the purpose of this list
was to provide people with an interest in the technical aspects of diving a
forum to exchange information.  I have seen postings from people who choose
to make slanderist remarks about Europeans and Canadians as an example, or
from people whose vocabulary is limited to every profane word in the book. 

I find it hard to believe that these people represent the technical diving
community.  I am an ex-commercial diver from the oil fields, so in no way do
I have virgin ears.  I do know that we knew there was a time and a place for
everything.  I do not believe many of the comments expressed by certain
members of this list are representative of the majority.  If they are please
let me know so I can establish a list of people who have a serious interest
in technical diving and desire a mature forum to exchange views with others
and we can leave techdiver@terra.net to the trash of society.

In the future, when we read the trash, I urge all other serious divers to
send the trash an email informing them that their comments and attendance are
not welcome here.

Typical.

By your own admission, you have been on the list 5 minutes, and are already
telling people what they should do. Thats called free speech.

Most of the individuals you are referring too are also major contributors of
usefull diving info. If they were just armchair experts, like most who have
left this list, they too would have forced to unsubscribe long ago.
