Subject: Re: Response from techdiver List Server
Howdy Y'all,
As suggested by the auto email response to a new subscriber, I'd like to say
"Hey" and
introduce myself.
I'm Richard Kongable from Austin, Texas, a dive instructor for NAUI, PADI, TDI
and DAN
currently, IANTD and SSI in the past. I teach for Oak Hill Scuba and also
independently as
RKON Divers.
I've been diving since '83, teaching since '89, and just now starting to creep
into the
techie world. The only tech course I teach is rebreathers, but I'm interested
in learning
more about advanced/techie dives personally. I like to have lots of experience
in a
particular area before teaching it, especially when it involves life support
equipment!

I'm a newbie; have done a number of deco dives and a couple of "cave" dives
(Vortex Springs,
the first 90') and really enjoy them. Building up gear and reading toward a
cave class
eventually.

I understand that there are strong personalities at this end of the dive
spectrum, with
divergent opinions on how to do things. I'd like to hear as much as I can, in
order to help
me decide how I want to proceed with the technical training and diving. I'm
sure there's
lot of good information that has been and will be shared via this list serve.

Thanks for your time! Looking forward to the experience!
