I realy do not need software, but I do use them once in a while to check things. The one thing you can say about our boy Parrot is that the bastard did his homework, and proofed his software, instead of sending out some half-assed piece of shit like the rest of the people in the dive business do. Some of these other guys I wish I had had my hands on after an hour or so trying to fool some crash test dummy's software into producing the right deco. You should see some of the silliness Gavin and I used to do to make software produce the correct pattern. Some of these things are so stupid that they figure the same gas and depth differently if you tell it you are at deco than if you tell it you are diving - that is always a dead giveaway of somebady too stupid to be writing software, yet with today's prebuilt software models, these geeks can play with only rudimentary math skills. > -G George M.
