JD, there is tri lam and then there is tri lam - we use the combat suit. The
cf would be great for us except it is not as flexible and it is heavy and a
general mess.

Remember too that we use custom suits. In non-custom, the tri lam is a piece
of shit. Also, we treat these things like fine china. You should see Gavin's
suit ritual - his looks new all of the time.

Also, remember that Gavin tested every suit there is for Navy a long time
ago,
and saved us all a lot of experimentation. He tested using their special
facilities, (not Tom Mount's swimming pool, or some red neck's guesswork).

We found problems, and decided on the combat suit years ago. Several of our
guys have both types, ask Sankey , Rose , JJ, or some of the others - they can
give you a comparison. I have never more than just tried the others, and only
have done the real thing with my custom suits.

If you ever saw how we have to handle two scooters and seven bottles at
once, you would know why we need every bit of flexibility we can get, and why
we
need all of the thermal to be the insulation, and all of the buoyancy to be
non-variable.

I do know what you are saying in practice - most people ruin the TLS
pretty
easily, but based on Navy tests, I am afraid of the stitching not holding on
the
CF. We also haave double zippers (one over the other) and slide-on seal
replacements ( latex).
