     Thanks to all who replied here on the list and via private email 
     about how I rigged my deco bottles.

     I will be ordering some 7 inch hoses next week.  Securing the SPG 
     to the first stage sounds like a better idea than running it down 
     the length of the bottle.  Less to have to mess with.

     This is actually what I did, but not for these exact reasons.

     I can now see why the upside down bottle was not the best solution. 
     Being able to see the first stage is important in case of 
     malfunction or failure.  It will also protect the first stage.
     
     I will try this on my next dives in two weeks.
