Subject: SPG and Reg on Deco Bottles
I recently had a chance to rig some deco bottles similar to the way
WKPP rigs their stage bottles, ala George's drawing on Bentley's
Web Page. Now, I have some comments and questions.

First, how is the best way to secure the SPG and reg while not
     using the bottle?

This is how I did it and I am looking for feedback on its
effectiveness. I rigged the bottle ass-end up (the bottom of the
bottle was clipped on a chest d-ring). I ran the SPG up the length
of the bottle and secured it under a bungee with the gauge where it
was easily visible and could not get snagged on anything. I ran
the reg the same way and secured it under the same bungee - a
simple tug and it came out, but never once by accident. The reason
I hung the bottle upside down was because the valve was at the
right position if I let my arm hang down - I didn't have to look
for it at all. It was always where I thought it should have been
everytime. This was a very comfortable position and the bottle
     never got in my way.

Also, since this was strictly a deco mix, I tested the reg at the
surface, then shut the valve off. I turned it on only during the
deco stops. Is this the generally accepted practice, or do you
always leave all of your gas on all of the time? Why?

So, what does everyone think? If I can improve on it, please let
me know how. If it is a complete cluster-fuck, tell me why and
what to do different next time.

     Peace,
     Steven
