I have only been half-assed following this, but all my stage regs are rigged
the same and are interchangeable, and have no disticntion for gasses. I use
smaller bottles on short dives, like in the ocean, but the same rig and reg. I
would not have a guage on deco except to tell if there is gas in the first
place
for wreck diving as I do not lay my bottles down and want them as clean as
possible, but I may need a rig for a cave stage so they all are the same. The
hoses are differenct lenghts according to the type of reg ( the Beuchat needs
les hose than the Poseidens to reach arond). I use the short hose bent back on
itself . I think all of this is in the rigging tape.
The only other thing I can suggest to all of you is to paint the operating
depth on yor deco bottles horizontally in the orientation of the bottles on
both
sides, and stick to regualr deco gasses, like air from 190, 35% from 120, 50%
from 70, and 100% from 20. This is a lot smarter than trying to maximize each
deco, and as you get more into this you will see that the exposure will dictate
not spiking the oxygen anyway, and not hammering yourself with it.
You will not die from a slightly bad deco, or even form a totally fucked
up one, but you wil die from a seizure undrewater, unless you are diving with
somebody like JJ who wil get you out in time. Geting bent and deco are basicly
no big deal, so concentrate on what is - doing it right in a methodical
ffachion, leacving you more freedom to have fun .
