  Juha, this is excellent information. Your "suspciaons" about gear failure at 
higher pressures is well founded. Just to give you and example of the idiocy of 
American scubas puveyors, U.S. Divers put out hp tanks a few years back but did 
not have a regulator rated for over 3000 psi, yet they made a yoke rated to
5000 
psi. It made little difference, as their pressure seats fail at any pressure. 
USd is an extrme example, but I have found that keeping high pressures off of 
all my regs greatly extends the life of the seats and the reliability. 

  When one realizes, as you have pointed out, that the higher pressures are not 
linear as to volume, one feels very stupid having fallen for this effort by
dive 
manufacturers and instructors to legally confiscate our money with the
"Genisis" 
line of strokery and stupidity. Obviuosly, the people who manufacture gear
think 
we are all as stupid as they are, or at least they all have a picture of P.T. 
Barnum hanging in their headquarters.

  Keep it simple : only a sucker would buy high presure tanks, and only a
stroke 
would keep or recommend them. We have no shortage of either.
