--In reply to the statement from IANTD UK: How many UK Trimix instructors fulfilled the requirements laid down by IANTD? I can't think of any!(Or at least, not at the time they received their qualifications!) With regard to my comments about HSE Pt 2, i am only repeating what a very dissatisfied and unhappy IANTD Nitrox instructor was told by an IANTD Trimix Instructor Trainer. Perhaps he was just lying or making it up? Or perhaps it was a way to keep others out of the market? I know which i believe! If policy varies from country to country, perhaps the policy could be published so people know if the ladder has been pulled up in their country? Of course if IANTD do not recognise other agencies then that is their decision, but i understood from Tom Mount that crossovers were acceptable. Maybe i am wrong at this level? They certainly do not seem to be a problem at the lower levels. Do people get told how long it will take to get to trimix instructor? What they are told or what is intimated to them certainly differs from official policy. This is to be taken as my PERSONAL reply, not from any agency. Julian Bottomer.
