You may recall the thread that i started some time ago, regarding the apparent policy of IANTD UK of not making any more trimix instructors, and Tom Mount remarked that Tech nitrox instructor was not to be regarded as just a stepping stone to trimix instructor, but was an end in itself. Well boys, the bad news is that they don't plan to make any more tech nitrox instructors either, i was told this last weekend!! What do you think of that? Also you need an HSE Part 2 to be an IANTD Trimix insructor, or so IANTD UK are telling people! (For the non-uk guys, this is a mixed gas sat divers commercial ticket!).Of course, all the present instructors have them, i am sure!! What do you think then?? I think it stinks!! -- Julian Bottomer
