Hello Dr. Davison:

I have been using the Maestro Pro for about a year and a half and have =
found the batteries do not last as advertised.  However, the unit works =
well and for a few bucks in batteries, what the hell.

Your point regarding the PC interface is a persistent problem.  The only =
way I have found to work around this effectively is to clench a fist =
while holding the unit in my hand, keeping the PC wand and the screws of =
the hose clips firmly in contact.  Don't try this with wet hands.  If =
this is not possible use three thick elastic bands to hold the wand and =
tank unit together. =20

These problems are minor, (and easily worked around) considering the =
amount of information you are able to retrieve from this product and the =
flexibility it gives you.

days - averaging 45 mins per dive.  It will be touch and go whether the
batteries will last the week - so needless to say there will be =
batteries
in the spares box.  We had put it down to the cold water shortening the
battery life but maybe not....

Another problem we are seeing is with the PC interface.  Quite often the
tank unit and PC are unable to establish a connection.  Anyone else seen
problem with the interface.
