I realize how the Poseidon works. I haven't seen the VX10 ist stage but from diagrams it appears to have a silicone filled chamber. The Tech 50D has a diaphragm that seals it but there is nothing in the first stage. The diaphragm in the Tech is silicone and it has pressurized air behind it. It is well protected and fairly tough...It would be very difficult to puncure accidentally.
