Tom, the knee was a real bitch - I could not walk for an entire day, and
could
not go diving for two whole days. I am afraid to try to run, but I will be in
the pool with the psychos tonight. The guy who did it worked on it for two and
one half hours and it does not hurt - a magician.

On the gear thing, I only said that just because you, Tom Mount, who has been
diving with all kinds of gear for forty years can make shitty configs work does
not meant they are safe or optimal. I was not implying that you are using
shitty
gear, just inappropriate, and in the case of the dive rite light, a goner - I
guess you all were wrong on that one.

As for configs, you should tell us how people doing it the wrong way have
gotten anything that approaches the results of those of us who do it the right
way, or why attaching a light to your ass is safe - it is not - it is insane.
You are just stubborn.

It is no reflection on you , we all know you are just trying to be a nice
guy and protect the brain dead red necks from central Florida who came up with
hose stuffing and butt mounting. All these guys do is try to cause me and our
project problems, and they have been hostile to me and my friends since we
stated cave diving - no wonder - we make them look like real clowns with our
results next to theirs. Look at the number of caves these bozos explored only
to
have me dump a full reel on the end of their line on my first dive in the cave,
just trying to familiarize myself with the system. In one case, it was before I
was even certified, and I was swimming.

Who cares. I am more concerned with getting the new comers off on the right
foot, to save them the aggravation, the wasted money, and the disaster that
awaits them if they listen to these dopes. Red-neck stupidity is not safe, it
is
not even funny anymore - quit defending these guys, and look at our results,
our
methods and our gear. You have come around to our way of thinking on gas,
marking bottles, and other improtant safety considerations, don't drop the ball
to be a nice guy. As you well know, the little details can kill you as quickly
as the big details. Let the red necks , and their bullshit , fade out of the
picture.

Let's really devlop some strong ideas , not be nice guys. Lose the
convoluted gear and the idoits that dream it up. -G
