The catalog states it may be either mounted on the waist or tank. Any comments or Rob, it is bad enough that we have to mount argon bottles on the tanks, but they are velcro released. Nothing should be mounted on the tanks, if possible. 1) If you get hung up by yourself (we all know a good buddy won't leave you), you can not free them. 2) You will occasionally find yourself "keyed" by things on your tanks on one side, so that you can fit going one way, but not the other way. 3) Things on your tanks add drag, whereas lights under your shoulder on your belt do not. 4) You can easily deal with a fixable light problem when it is on your belt, but not on your tank. 5) you want to be able to see obstructive gear, and deal with it, not have it hidden behind you doing mischief that you can not see, lke the props on an Aquazepp, or a buttmounted light. 6) Things on your tanks have a greater moment so cause more trim problems. 7) Listening to a dive manufacturer is like watching one of thse Ginsu knife commercials. 8) Anything mounted on a tank is a risk of hangup . - G
