A couple of things - first, lost mask would imply *two* lost masks in
a cave, cause there's STILL your buddy.  If you don't like relying on
your buddy then what are you doing diving with him?  He's carrying
your gas in the event of an out of gas scenario, and lights #4,5,6...

Second, the three primary reasons *TRAINED* cave divers die
in caves is...

D - depth
G - guidelines
A - air

Notice that guidelines is right up there in number 2 position.
For non-cave divers it goes

T - training
G - guidelines
A - air
D - depth
L - lights

Note that guidelines is still #2 !!!
