Wetsuits and >dry suits work differently. For one thing, you lose heat about 200 times >faster when you're wet. This isn't a placebo effect at all. Well due to the wonder of the delete key the first part of the message was ommitted, it wasn't ne that claimed the suits only worked because we were told that they worked (placebo effect), I was just pointing out that that was not the case. Unfortunatly my mail system cleared out all the read messages last night and I cannot recall the name of the initial poster. however I believe that I recall his sugestion of an experiment involving two gloves, one Ti lined and the other not, a bar and several cold beers, so he probably has a hangover. Also yesterday there was a posting that did clarify the case, it was stated that the benefit of a Ti lined suit was in he thermal retention properties of Ti and not it's ability to reflect heat, this would mean that the suit would be initially warmer but would eventually (I wonder how long ?) revert to normal neoprene insulation. How about persuing this line ? Hallsworth
