The MASH TV series is fiction, the events are made up, so I should think
that the pretend placebo's that were given to pretend Klinger during the
pretend heatwave made the pretend Klinger pretend not to be affected by the
pretend heat!

Now as to the effectivness of this material, I have dived both wet and dry,
my wet suit is the same thickness as my dry suit 6.5mm, the wetsuit is
double over the body.

The drysuit is Titanium plush lined and all I use under it is a 'T' shirt
thick body suit, no wooly bear's or thinsulate's.

Coldest logged dive last year was 3C.

So if it is a placebo effect it is a very effective placebo effect.

Another member of my dive club originally from Newfoundland where he learned
to dive, had a TI wetsuit and he didn't know, everyone wondered how it was
that he was able to dive in the cold water without freezing to death.
Eventually he bought a dry suit more due to peer group pressure than need, a
membrane + thinsulate. Reverse placebo ?
