Actually over a year ago when I was getting interested in wreck penetration of ships below 200ft I came across numerous things preaching safety, among which was the option of redundant buoyancy. This was through discussions with sales people at the dive shop I will NEVER go back to (that's a whole other story though), and magazine articles and editorials. I will agreed that the person who talked me into those wings was clueless, but at the time so I was obviously. Luckily I've learned better, NOW I don't even want them but I don't want to just throw away wings I stupidly spent $500 on. NOW I don't use those wings. -----Original Message----- From: Bill Mee [mailto:wwm@sa*.ne*] Sent: Friday, July 23, 1999 12:34 PM To: Caruso, Christina R (Christina); 'Kevin Connell' Cc: cavers@cavers.com Subject: Re: Scubapro Super Tek dual bladder wings for sale Dear Christina, At what Car Wash were you advised to purchase double bladder wings for Deep Ocean Diving? Or maybe this was during a visit to Monkey Jungle in the Redlands, Apparently the great ape is becoing talkative again. -----Original Message----- From: Caruso, Christina R (Christina) <ccaruso@lu*.co*> To: 'Kevin Connell' <kevin@nw*.co*> Cc: cavers@cavers.com <cavers@cavers.com> Date: Friday, July 23, 1999 10:55 AM Subject: RE: Scubapro Super Tek dual bladder wings for sale >Most tech groups currently recommend Hogarthian set ups or minimization, but >I have seen numerous editorials defending redundancy for deep ocean diving >and last year there was an article (in Deep Tech I think..) that suggested >dual BCs as an option for this.
