Subject: Octo placement.
This type of report amazes me.. I would have thought the diver who lost his
mask would have at least had the skill to find his own octopus for his
personal use in this situation.

In a message dated 97-01-16 16:03:49 EST, you write:

Having seen this before..MANY times, and even guilty of it as a novice, eight
years ago.. I'm curious what different people feel is the best place for the
octo, and why. I currently have mine clipped in the chest area in plain view
with a clip that connects to the hose at the body of the reg. I like this
location because its easy for me to make use of it in the event of
loosing/failing/sharing my primary.

Its a wonder that there weren't two dead divers.
