Subject: SS Backplates
To everyone who ordered a stainless backplate from me:

1)	CUSTOMIZING: I have received many requests for the addition of features
such as extra holes, slots for singles, etc. I will modify the plates to your
individual
requirements (within reason) but I am short on time so if you are in a hurry
you are SOL. Just include a note specifying what you need.

2)	CHEQUES: For those of you who have already forwarded cheques, they are
being delayed by the Canadian postal strike. As soon as I get them, you will
get
your plate(s).

3)	SLOTS: although it was originally intended to round the edges of all slots,
it has come to my attention that many people like the unfinished edges because
they
prevent the webbing from slipping. As a result, all edges are unfinished, but
are easily filed down.

4)	DESCRIPTION: I've already posted this about three times, but I'm still
getting asked. Here it is:

The plates are 3/8 of an inch thick, made of series 316 stainless steel, and
weigh approximately eleven pounds. There are slots for a two inch webbing
harness, and a
one inch crotch strap. There are two bolt holes spaced eleven inches apart.
Other than this, there are no slots or holes of any kind. I will add features
on request but this
will take some time. All edges are unfinished, but can be filed down easily.

5)	COST: Cost is $100 US + $25 US shipping anywhere in North America. For
orders elsewhere, I need an address to get the shipping cost. Cheques should
be
sent to the following address and include any special instructions. I also
need immediate confirmation by e-mail to hold a plate for you.

6)	CONFIRMATIONS: I have nine plates sitting in my garage that I am out of
pocket for, and do not have the names of the people who originally requested
them. As
a result, these are available to anyone. First nine confirmations take them.

7)	QUESTIONS: I believe that most questions should be addressed in this post.
If not, you ask too many questions.

-Sean
