I saw a presentation at DEMA by Marshalls Dive Adventures. It looks
awesome and it seems they run a pretty good operation. their e-mail
address is rreadmin@nt*.co*

The diving is pretty technical. They have double tanks, single tanks with
H-valves, stage bottles, and surface-supplied O2 for deco. Nitrox is
included (I think) and trimix is available.

Wrecks include the USS Saratoga (aircraft carrier) at a bottom depth of
180 ft. Flight deck is at 95, superstructure is at 40, and the flight
hangar deck is at 130. The Japanese flagship Nagato is capsized at 170
feet, with the bridge at 150.

The battleship USS Arkansas is capsized at 170 feet, and there are also 2
subs, 2 destroyers, 2 attack transports, and a Japanese cruiser.

You spend a week on the Island, with 6 days of diving. They have
divemasters who will either watch you like a hawk and keep you within
no-deco limits, or who will let you roam pretty free. It depends on your
certs and how you do on a checkout dive the first day there.

Only problem is the price: $2750 for the land portion, about $525 for the
flight from Majuro to Bikini (which has a strict 75 pound baggage limit,
BTW). I'm getting to Majuro for free thanks to Delta and Continental
frequent flyer miles. If anyone was curious, you can use Continental
frequent flyer certificates on Continental Air Micronesia, which is how
you get to Majuro, Kwaj, Truk, etc.

Hope this helps. Mad Dog expeditions is also a good source of info and
there are a couple of web sites, including one by the National Park
Service. If you want, I can look up the URLs for you. You should be able
to find them through a lycos or altavista search, though.
