AND the day he wants to attempt to be a wreckdiver I'll take him in on a
dive on the side of the channel 3 - 5 ft viz on a good day (last time I
was there it was 6 inches) and covered with fishnet. I hate it when the
freighters leave the channel, don't respond to the Coast Gaurd Commander
on deck so that he must slip anchor(only happened once though. Glad I
wasn't on deco!) Jeff Johnson--------- Begin forwarded message ----------

Mark
Don't even ask
the grand pubah already thinks he is ; a diver , physician ( here's where
he's a dead give away ie 1 theory = THE answer), engineer (I've got a
friend at David Taylor research center that does hydro and fluid drag
analysis for gov. ship etc projects He says ggggg's bulls... logic for
streamlining could not even show a difference on their expensive sensing
devices), caver, stockbroker(I'm gonna laugh when they go south),
leader(ha ha , the disalusioned leading the enchanted))don't help
convince him he's an authority on wreckdiving to!!!!--------- Begin

I have to ask, is it being suggested that up-lines or jersey
reels or whatever are useless? Then what am I supposed to do
when I decide to go play on a wreck, then shoot a bag and swim
back to the boat after my deco? Drift? What if I don't want to
look for the anchor line? What if I get busy, it takes a while
to pop a porthole out of a steel hull. And then I'll be too
tired to swim with a porthole back to the line. Can't I just
send up a bag from where I am? Next someone will suggest you
don't need 12 knives on the Virginia (NY wreck, more mono than
you ever saw; they make it here).

Go for it,
Mark Welzel

And don't tell me what they do in caves, I really don't care
and I have more portholes than most cavers.
