The other obstacle (preactual dive) is the fact

This same situation, the English gov. claiming them, exists for many wrecks
of warships. I wonder how they handle it with the other ones?
 I know Mad Dog, among many others, have dove the Cruiser Hampshire. On the
other hand, I haven't heard of anyone diving the Repulse and Prince of
Wales, which suggests the Brit. gov may be blocking it (as the blocked a
Japanese proposal to scrap them out!). Might have something to do with
where they are located - wrecks, and divers, in home waters can be
monitored more closely.

Does anyone know if anyone has dove the Audacious, or how deep she is?
