The Britannic is going to become the ultimate wreck dive. I have been in conversation with people in the Greek goverment for two years now, and am still trying to get them to grant access. Greece has a restrictive policy on diving due to the antiquties located underwater. The angle that I am trying to use to get access is increase in Tourism for Greece. Unfortunately I don't think that enough divers are ready to dive her, me included. WKPP is probably the only team around that could mount a good effort. Think about it, a 900 foot long ship, 95 feet of beam in 400 feet of water. A local TV station has agreed to broadcast all footage that is recorded and that has helped to open doors, but it is difficult to get over there more than twice a year, and the Greek government is terrible to deal with. If Dr. Ballard makes her a museum, I bet you she will become a totaly CLOSED sight. A Greek team has visited her twice (illegaly), and Cousteau did her also. If you want to see the Britannic the way divers would see her get Cousteau's video. That man is incredible. -Charles +-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+ Please send messages for the WreckDiver list to: wreckdiver@wreckdiver.com Send subscription and help requests to: wreckdiver-request@wreckdiver.com +-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+
