Jim ,
My point was that other conservation minded divers and the general public
may be convinced of the value of removing a porthole , plate, gold etc from
a wreck but really, a piece of pipe??? I often hear greenie divers
complaining about wreckers destroying wrecks for the sake of it and this is
a prime example. If you cant find anything decent to take then for Gods sake
leave that sort of shit behind. If thats the sort of relic your looking for
stick to scuttled hulks and take all you want. Perhaps when you have a few
more pieces of pipe you may raise your standards a little. I personally
wouldnt bother with a porthole, or any other large piece of machinery
anymore, I believe personal belongings and unique items are much more
interesting and a challenge to find. Any stroke can find a porthole, or
piece of pipe, if theres one there to be found,.
